The second season introduces new land to explore, new villages to build, and a ton of monster and beast people to befriend, but it doesn't delve into the potential of its premise. The show's focus on random mayoral duties overshadows Hiraku's fatherly responsibilities, with Alfred, his newborn son, existing mostly as a prop. The review highlights the missed opportunity to explore Hiraku's fatherly journey and the lack of character development, particularly for Lu, who feels indistinguishable from the other girls. The anime's mindless nature is entertaining, but it could have been more thoughtful and engaging.
